1500 bodies found in a mass grave in Syria

A mass grave containing about 1500 bodies have been discovered by the Syrian Government Forces. According to reports, they lost their lives during the US led coalition fighting the terrorist group, Daesh Takfiri  that carried out airstrike attacks on Raqqah, the northern province of Syria.

Jamal al-Isa, The Head of Raqqah Medical Center recently told the al-watan newspaper on Wednesday that the bodies was discovered around the district in the city which is located about 283 miles northeast of Damascus.

"Everyday, more crimes are being uncovered which were perpetrated by the Daesh terrorist group and the illegal US led military alliance in Raqqah", Jamal al-Isa stated.

Meanwhile, the US have not made any comment regarding this but according to what the Syrian ambassador to the UN Bashar al-ja'fari said at the United Nations Security Council meeting in New York City on mid October of this year, the US led coalition is targeting anything in Syra but not the terrorist group, he said.

"We are surprised that the UN special envoy to Syria had ignored the crimes of this coalition against the Syrian people. The illegal US led international coalition continues to perpatrate crimes in Syria, the last of which were in the villages of al-sousa and al-bubadran, where 62 people lost their lives", Syrian Ambassador to UN Bashar al-Ja'fari said.

Nigerian Army opens fire at Zakzaky's supporters

Nigerian soldiers attacked hundreds of members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) as they took part in the march for the release of Sheikh Zakzaky in the capital Abuja on Monday.

Witness said some victims were lying on the ground on a road in the area of Kugbo on Abuja's outskirts following the army assault. 

Rights groups have accused Nigeria's military of killing more than 300 IMN supporters and burying them in mass graves during the 2015 confrontation, a charge the military strongly denies.

This comes after at least 10 people were killed in an attack by Nigerian security forces against Muslims on Saturday. Reports in local Nigerian media said scores of people had also been injured after Nigerian security forces opened fire on Muslim worshipers gathering for a procession in Zuba in Gwagwalada area of Abuja.

James Myam, a military spokesman, claimed in a statement released on Sunday that soldiers opened fire on the IMN members after they "pelted the troops with stones." He also accused mourners of "illegal roadblock" in the area.

But the IMN disputed the claim, calling the military account "false" and "unsubstantiated." Musa said the army had attacked a peaceful mourning procession. "We categorically refute the storyline of the Nigerian army." 

Nigeria’s crackdown on IMN followers began in December 2015 when the army attacked a religious ceremony in the city of Zaria in the northern Nigeria. Nigerian forces later raided the house of IMN leader Sheikh Zakzaky and arrested him after killing those attempting to protect the prominent Muslim cleric.

Scores of Zakzaky’s followers were arrested during the brutal raid by security forces on the cleric’s IMN headquarters in December 2015.

7 people shot in US Nightclub

According to local authorities, seven people have been shot in a shootut at a club located in southern California on the early hours of Monday.

The Riverside Police Department said that they received a call 12:04 AM on Monday regarding a
Shooting which had taken place in the sevilla Nightclub. At the arrival ofthe police, two people had already been shot and injured, few minutes later, other five people were also discovered shot and injured.

Meanwhile, The roberry and homicide department unit and the forensic centers are still investigating the cause of the shooting.

Here is what a Police officer wrote on his Twitter page regarding the shooting:
"There was some initial information describing this incident as a 'mass shooting'. It was not and detectives  from our gang intelligence unit are investigating and following on the leads of the identity of the suspects involved".

Angela Merkel plans to step down as German Chancellor in 2021

The 64 Year old German Chancellor Angela Merkel  has decided not to seek a fifth term rerun therefore, she also announced that she won't stand as the leader of her central-right  Cristain Democratic Union(CDU) which she has held for 18 years. Angela Merkel has been the leader of the Christian Democratic Union since the year 2000 and German Chancellor since 2005.

Angela Merkel government has led Germany and Europe foward toward the new political era after voters sanctioned Germany's governing political parties in an election on Sunday. Merkel for years insisted that the the Chancellor should also be the party leader.

Angela Merkel predecessor, Gerhard Schroeder, stepped down as leader of his Social Democrats in 2004 meanwhile, he was still German Chancellor but lost the next election.

Muslim-American Communities Raise Funds for Pittsburgh's Shootout Victims

After days of Pittsburgh's mass shooting, the Muslim-American community have rose up to help and financially donate to the victims of the Pittsburgh's shooting.

Launch Good, a Muslim Crowfunding site which has donated about $25,000 just within six hours and still counting. Another Crowfunding site was founded by two Muslim groups, Celebrate and MPower Change, so as to help donate to the victims of the Pittsburgh's shooting. The crowfunding site has however raised up to $40,000.

Robert Bowers, the shooter has been arrested by the police, he has however been charged with 29 counts charges offences.

According to reports, the 11 people killed in the
Synagogue includes two married couples,
Bernice and Sylvan Simon, and two brothers, Cecil and David Rosenthal. David Rosenthal was the youngest at 54. The eldest was 97-year-old Rose Mallinger. The dead also included Joyce Fienberg, Richard Gottfried, Jerry Rabinowitz, Daniel Stein, Melvin Wax, and Irving Younger.

Gunmen open fire in Lau Local Government Area market in Taraba State

Gunmen opens fire in a local livestock trading market community in Lau local Government Area in Taraba State, at least three herders have been feared dead and several others have been injured according to the Police.

The market who had just recently been opened due to an ethno religious crisiscrisis that caused the mayo lope town traders to flee the community.

According to what witnesses told the PREMIUM TIMES, the gunmen stormed the market in the afternoon business hours of Saturday.

“People were busy buying and selling cattle, sheep and goats and farm produce” when gunmen suddenly appeared and opened fire, a witness said.

“Three traders were killed instantly and 11 others injured as I am talking to you now,’’ Mallum Kawu, a cattle dealer who said he narrowly escaped the attack, told PREMIUM TIMES.

China's fails at attempt to launch a privately developed rocket to the orbit

China's first attempt to send a privately developed rocket to the orbit failed at the launch on Saturday.

The launch of the rocket was on a Beijing based
land space, the first and second stage of the launch of Zhuqhu 1 operated normally without any interruptions. At the third stage, the rocket successfully lifted off but something went wrong so the rocket failed to reach the orbit.

According to the company's Weibo account, an operating Chinese microblogging site,"cowling separation was normal but something abnormal after the second stage", despite the setback, The company still describe the attempt as a success. The first two stages of the launch did excellently well but an error was believed to occur so the rocket failed to reach it orbit.

The rocket was however believed to be to be carrying a satellite that will broadcast a TV series called 'cheers science' for  state media China Central Television(CCTV).

Pakistan Supreme Court Reintroduces ban on an Indian TV Station

The Supreme Court of Pakistan have once again ordered a ban on an Indian based TV Station and its contents. Chief Justice Main Saqib Nissar  ordered the immediate stop to the TV Station and it programs on Sunday after a lower court ruling in 2017. Chief Justice Nissar made this order in Karachi after Producers association filed a case that the TV station have been broadcasting unrelated foreign contents on Pakistan TV channels.

Chief Justice Nissar also made it clear that thethe authorities should start showing appropriate content for the audience to watch,"They are trying to obstruct the construction of our dam and we cannot ban thier channels?", Chief Justice Nissar stated during the court hearing.

Earlier in the year 2017, The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority(PEMRA) introduced the ban for the first time but the ban was lifted up and was announced null and void as the Government had no objection regarding the decision

Super Mario Bros. 3- Y'all Remember that?

Super Mario Bros 3, do you all remember that game? Well if you don't, I very well do, so this weekend I picked up my gaming box to pick a game I would play and write about......wooohooo I saw one of the old game my sister and I used to play which turns out to be Super Mario, so I decided to write about it. So, let get down to business.

Firstly, Super Mario is video game developed by Nintendo Entertainment System, it was released in some of the Asian Countries in 1988 and in 1990 in Northern American countries and just few years later it was officially released and played all over the world.

Gameplay

Let’s take a step back for a minute – Super Mario Bros (the first one) was one of the most financially successful “toys” ever created. To this day, SMBremains one of the highest-selling games of all time. But as far as Mario 1’s influence goes, it’s purely financial. Like Donkey Kong before it, SMBcreated an addictive formula – but one that still felt a bit stuck in the past. The jumping physics, while novel for the time, still felt a bit off, and the life system made the player restart the entire game like an arcade game. It sold incredibly well, no doubt, but never did much to push the video game medium to its limits.

Yes, Mario 3 also sold like hotcakes. But it also had an impact that extended far, far beyond finance…

SMB3 was a renaissance for the video game industry. It overshadowed every video game before it, and was the ruler that every game after it was judged by for a long, long time. Mario 3also demonstrated the importance of subtle level design, nudging the player to learn how to perform every single action without a single line of text. It brought us the joy of discovery like no game up to that point had, littering every world, every level, and every screen full of little secrets. It was the first Mario game to absolutely nail physics on every front, from running to sliding to flying to simply crouching.

Simply put, Mario 3 invented modern game design.

Platforms
By this point, we’ve already knocked out all the major console and PC publishers, and there could of course be potentially more. Who knows if DMA Design (Later Rockstar North) would have published Lemmings without inspiration from Metroid puzzles? Who can tell if Bethesda would have made the Elder Scrolls if it weren’t for guidance from A Link to The Past? And without all those companies, where would Ubisoft and EA be at now? Without the template of DOOM and Half-life, where would Bungie or Activision be? Would Capcom have continued to make Mega Mangames, and eventually Resident Evil and Monster Hunter? Would Konami have eventually made Metal Gear Solid? Without Sony’s support, would Naughty Dog exist? Would video games even be around anymore?

Daniel Jacobs Claim IBF Middleweight Title

On Saturday, the unoccupied IBF middleweight title was claimed by Daniel Jacobs after the judges made a split-decision victory over his opponent Sergiy Derevyanchenko. Two Judges scored Jacobs with 115-112 and a Judge scoring Derevyanchenko with 114-113.

Jacobs has however been having trouble winning good fights but since he has won the IBF middleweight title, then he probably has a boost in popularity. Jacobs knocked out Derevyanchenko in the first round delivering 180 punches compared to his opponent delivering 160 punches.

"From sparring him I know he gets a little tired in rounds. Seeing his fights and studying him, I knew that if I let him load up and miss the
shots I could come back and hopefully get another knockdown" he said.

Two Seven year old children die at Mediterranean Sea

Two Seven year old children have died in the Mediterranean sea during the migration of hundreds of migrants moving from Morocco to Spain. Meanwhile 16 Moroccan migrants were reported missing after a boat capsized off the coast of north Morocco.

The International Organisation for Migration Reports says about 42,500 migrants arrived by sea since the beginning of the year 2018 also stating that 433 have been reported dead during the journey.
There have however been an increase in death toll resulting in about 2000 people die through migrating from Morocco to Spain.

The Spanish Sea Rescue Service took to their Twitter page stating that two lifeless bodies have been found which are the bodies of the two seven year old children and 53 people have been rescued from the sea.

The have been Increase in the number of Moroccans seeking to enter Spain either smuggling themselves into the Spanish enclaves  Ceuta and Melilla or through the sea.

Morocco to become major Distribution Centre for Upcoming Renault Vehicles

CEO of Renault Group Carlos Ghosn has announced on saturday that Morocco will become a major production center for the production of Renault vehicles.

Speaking at the World Policy Conference, Mr. Ghosn stated that the Renault's factories in Casablanca and in Tangier will now be producing  a limit of 500,000 vehicles per day. He also said that Tangier Factory is the leading Africa's production plant with the production of almost 400,000 vehicles a year, 60% of these vehicles are exported abroad.

Morocco's Automotive sector currently has a domestic sourcing of 50% employing not less than 85,000 people a year.

Eight Injured and Six Dead in Pittsburgh's Shootout

Eight people have been reported dead and atleast six people are left injured in a mass shooting by a gunman in Pittsburgh on Saturday.

According to the Police Investigation, the gunman walked into a The tree of life synagogue building and yelled"All Jews must die". There was an ongoing baby naming ceremony when he began firing his rifle, police officers responded swiftly and kept himself inside the building, he crawled out of the building surrendering to the police. According to a local report, he is said to have been injured.

According to KDKA-TV, A local news station said earlier that it sources identified the gunman as Robert Bowers, a White male in his mid-late Fourties.

Robert Bowers is said to have been involved in several anti-semitic and anti-imigration conspiracies by writing Critics on GAB, a social media comparable to Twitter. He has criticized HIAS, formerly known to be Hebrew Immigration Aid Society,  a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian aids to American-Jewish Refugees and Immigrants.

Here is what he wrote in his Social network page a few hours before the shootout: "HIAS likes to bring invaders to kill our people. I can't watch by and watch my people get slaughtered. Screw your optics, I'm going in", He said.

18 Saudis involved in Khashoogi case to face extradition from Turkey

An extradition request has been prepared by Turkish prosecutors for 18 suspects who are believed to be involved in the killing of Saudi's Journalist Jamal khashoogi.
President Recep Tayip Erdogan has however been showing concern recently urging Riyadh to disclose the order of the murder.

Saudi Arabia’s public prosecutor on Thursday said the killing of Khashoggi was premeditated, contradicting a previous official statement that it happened accidentally during a tussle in the consulate. Riyadh’s numerous shifting accounts of the killing have undermined Prince Mohammed’s stance in the West.

Turkish prosecutors seeking the extradition accuse the 18 of “murder by premeditation, monstrous intent or by torture”. Riyadh previously arrested the 18 as part of its investigation into the case. Those include a 15-man security team that Turkey says flew in hours before the killing and carried it out.

“Who gave this order?” Erdogan said in a speech to members of his AK Party in Ankara. “Who gave the order for 15 people to come to Turkey?” he said.

Suspicious Packages sent to Obama, Clinton and CNN centers in New York

The packages to Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton were intended to arrive at their residences.

FBI Special Agent Bryan Paarman told reporters the device for Mr Brennan, which appeared to be live, had been sent to CNN's mailroom.

One of the packages sent today had listed Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz as the sender.

Law enforcement officials are currently investigating an additional suspicious package at the congresswoman's office in Sunrise, Florida.

Mr Brennan was scheduled to appear on CNN on Wednesday, US media report. Mr Brennan, is a frequent contributor to the network and has become a vocal critic of Mr Trump since leaving office.

Boko Haram kills 12 Farmers in Kano

Boko Haram militants on Saturday hacked 12 farmers to death as they worked on their fields in the volatile northeastern Nigerian state of Borno, civilian militia said.

 

They came in two trucks and attacked the farmers with machetes outside Kalle, a remote village 17km outside the state capital Maiduguri, the birthplace of the Boko Haram movement.

 

“They used machetes to kill their victims who were working on their farms,” militia leader Babakura Kolo said.

“So far, we have recovered 12 dead bodies from the fields and nearby bush.”

 

Three people were injured in the raids.

 

The militants had guns but did not use them so as not to attract the attention of troops in nearby Molai village, said another militia leader Ibrahim Liman.

 

“When the farmers saw them pulling over close to their crop fields they all ran in different directions but the terrorists pursued them,” Liman said.

  

It was not clear which of the two Boko Haram factions was behind the attack.

 

The militant faction loyal to Abubakar Shekau is notorious for deadly attacks on civilian targets.

 

The Daesh-affiliated faction ISWAP focuses on the military and high profile targets including Western interests, although they have recently been involved in attacks on civilians.

 

Boko Haram has stepped up attacks on farmers and loggers in recent years, accusing them of passing information on the group to the military.

Buhari is Planning to Replace Osinbanjo as His Vice Presidential Candidate

Although sources within the Abubakar Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation confided in The Guardian that the PDP presidential candidate has not penciled down a prospective running mate, it was gathered that some names have started popping up now and then as possible candidates.

The Guardian learned that considerations as to whether the presidential running mate would come from Southeast or Southwest brought a new twist to the search as well as the strategic need to accommodate the inputs of some critical stakeholders that oiled the machinery for Atiku’s eventual emergence as the PDP numero uno.

But no sooner had Chidoka’s name escaped Obasanjo’s lips than many foundation members of PDP, who have eyes on the 2023 presidential election, began clandestine lobbying for a technocrat to be paired with the former vice president.

It was against that notion that names of former Finance Minister, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and Prof. Barth Nnaji surfaced, ostensibly to push back on the considerations being given to the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi.

Those who are pushing for Okonjo-Iweala argue that her Delta/Abia combination origin based on paternity and marriage achieves the Southeast/South-South solidarity in addition to her clout in the international community.

Meanwhile, pressures are said to be mounting also from the Southwest, which claims that ceding the presidential running mate to the zone would go a long way to mitigate the loss of the national chairmanship during last December national convention.

The name of incumbent President of African Development Bank (AfDB) and former Minister of Agriculture, Akinwumi Ayodeji Adesina, is being touted as a feasible candidate on the score of Southwest accommodation and buy-in of the international community.

While the Southeast and Southwest push their arguments for PDP to select the next vice presidential candidate from their zones, multiple sources told The Guardian that Atiku was moved by the fact of Senator David Mark’s position on gender balance to consider Okonjo-Iweala in addition to her knowledge of international finance and development issues.
Senator Mark had, while addressing PDP delegates at the Adokie Amasiemeka Stadium, Port Harcourt, last Saturday, noted that he was the only presidential aspirant among the one dozen to appoint a woman as Director General of his campaign organization.

It was also gathered that former President Obasanjo is excited by the likelihood of Okonjo-Iweala being adopted, which prompted his recent comments that a president knowledgeable in economic matters is what Nigeria needs to fix the damage done by the present administration to the economy.

President Muhammadu Buhari to Face Heavyweight Opponent for the 2019 Re-election bid

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will run for re-election in February 2019 against former vice president Atiku Abubakar, a Muslim from the country's north who was nominated on Sunday as the main opposition party's poll contender.

Buhari, a 75-year-old former military ruler, was the sole candidate for his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party, so his confirmation by some 7 000 delegates gathered in the capital Abuja was a mere formality on Saturday.

The APC swept to power in 2015 with the first opposition victory at the ballot box in the country's history.

But next year's presidential race appears to have tightened in recent months with the APC hit by a wave of defections over Buhari's leadership style.

On Sunday, delegates to a weekend convention of the former ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), nominated Abubakar, 71, as his challenger for next years poll.

The politician and business tycoon has made four previous attempts at the top job in Nigeria, Africa's most populous nation.

Abubakar comes from the Muslim-majority north, and his nomination follows an unwritten rule in Nigeria that the presidency should alternate every two terms between a candidate from the north and south.

The PDP vote was held in the oil hub of Port Harcourt, in the heartland of the southern Niger delta.

Abubakar garnered 1,532 votes, far outstripping his closest rival Aminu Tambuwal, the governor of northern Sokoto state who scored 693 votes.

The Eurasia Consultancy group said Saturday the outcome of the PDP primary would determine whether Buhari "loses his incumbency advantage", adding that Tambuwal would be the "strongest challenger".

Port Harcourt streets were festooned with conference banners, while police said thousands of officers were deployed to the PDP primary.

Despite humble beginnings in northern Nigeria, Abubakar rose through the ranks of the customs service for two decades, to eventually become the institution's number two during military rule.

The position is thought to have brought him enormous wealth but he then entered the private sector, investing in oil services and agriculture, among other industries.

From there he joined the civilian government where he became one of Nigeria's most recognisable and enduring politicians.

But his official, political and family life has been dogged by controversies ranging from his numerous wives and more than 20 children to allegations of corruption.

Weekend setbacks- Get Busy with some Games

The weekend has arrived and gone like a cartoon anvil being dropped on your head by a sneaky Wile E. Coyote, and as always that means it’s time for game, movies, books and other awesome stuff!

So far my weekend has consisted of picking up some sort of mild cold/flu, so that’s just absolutely great. But that hasn’t stopped me from playing games, the first being Dakar 18 which is focused on the legendary Dakar rally that spans vast distances across massive sand dunes. It’s an awesome idea for a racing game, especially since the emphasis on navigation instead of outright speed on a pre-defined track really helps it stand out against the likes of DiRT Rally. I’m going to be reviewing this soon so I’m not going to spoil my opinions of it, but so for despite a cool premise and some nice moments it’s ultimately not very good.

Now, on the exact opposite end of the spectrum, we have Forza Horizon 4, which is bloody great. It’s not a huge leap from Forza Horizon 3, and while I may have criticised Shadow of the Tomb Raider for not pushing the series mechanics I don’t think I’ll be doing the same here. Sure, there’s nothing massively new on offer but we do get some pretty cool stuff like the changing seasons. But importantly it’s just really, really good at the whole driving malarky.

I do actually have a copy of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey installed in my PS4 Pro but I still haven’t started it, which could be a mistake considering Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming out soon. I don’t think there are enough hours in the day to juggle two huge games.

In other news at the ripe age of too sodding old I finally took my first driving lesson earlier this week and did not kill anyone, which I’m counting as a win. It went quite well, honestly, and I’m pretty excited for the second lesson and seeing if this is something I’m cut out for.

Not a long post for this weekend, but at this point my nose is so blocked with horrible stuff that I’m fairly sure the next time I sneeze my brain is going to evacuate through my ears, mouth and possibly eye sockets.

The Walking Dead Season 9- All You Need To Know

THE WALKING DEAD season 9 has been confirmed by US network AMC with a new showrunner leading the programme. But when does the new series start? Here are all the latest updates on the zombie drama including cast, episodes, trailer and more.

The Walking Dead season nine will be premiering in America on AMC on Sunday, October 7.

FOX UK will be making the episode available the following day (Monday, October 8) at 9pm.

Season nine episodes will be out on a weekly basis.

AMC and FOX have released the first five minutes of The Walking Dead season 9 opener for fans to watch.

The season nine premiere date was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con.

The first trailer dropped for eager fans which seemed to reveal how Rick Grimes would be making his exit.

There was also a panel about the forthcoming run during which Andrew Lincoln's exit was discussed and hints that it would lead to a focus on the core cast.

Lincoln also shared the real reason behind Rick's exit from the zombie drama at the annual convention.

Despite news of his departure, it seems fans want him to stay and a new theory has emerged about Rick's survival.

There have also been theories that Rick could turn up in prequel series Fear The Walking Dead.

Filming on season nine is taking place in Atlanta, Georgia on the first eight episodes.

Does China have something to do with the disappearance of The Interpol President?

Earlier, reports in Chinese media suggested that Interpol chief was held by the Chinese authorities. "Meng Hongwei, who is also a vice-minister at China’s Ministry of Public Security, was taken away for questioning by discipline authorities as soon as he landed in China last week," South China Morning Post reported on Saturday citing sources. The language of Interpol's Saturday statement seeking 'clarification' from Chinese authorities gives further impetus to these reports. So far, Chinese authorities have not made an official statement in this regard. 

Reports says Mr. Meng's wife says she has not been in contact with him since he Lyon city in September. Meanwhile an France has begun an underway investigation reporting he had left France for China but his exact destination is still unknown.

Mr. Meng's position as a Vice Minister for China Ministry of Pubic Security is the first Chinese man to become Interpol's President. The president at Interpol is an elected person for a term of four years who heads the executive committee and is responsible for the supervision of the execution of decisions made by general assembly of Interpol. Mr. Meng's term as The President of Interpol expires in the year 2020.

Mass Grave Dug To Bury Indonesia Earthquake Victims

A mass burial of earthquake and tsunami victims has begun in Indonesia, as the need for heavy equipment to dig for survivors of the disaster grows increasingly desperate.

The toll of more than 800 dead is largely from the city of Palu and is expected to rise as areas cut off by the damage are reached.

Dozens of people are feared to be underneath

the rubble of one hotel alone, the Roa-Roa in the devastated coastal resort of Palu.

The grave being dug in Palu will be 10 metres by 100 metres and can be enlarged if needed, said Willem Rampangilei, chief of Indonesia's National Disaster Mitigation Agency.

"This must be done as soon as possible for health and religious reasons," he said.

Indonesia is  majorly Muslim, and religious custom calls for burials soon after death, typically within one day.
