Ekiti Pupil Hacks Schoolmate To Death After Juju Contest
A seventeen year old Secondary School Pupil Kehinde Timileyin has killed his schoolmate Favour Mathew, sixteen year old after engaging in a contest to test their juju. The two pupils of Ado Grammar School, Ado Ekiti was said to have been engaged in each other in a a juju contest after which Mathew, a Senior Secondary School Two pupil reportedly went home to bring an axe to attack Timileyin.
According to sources said Timileyin who was Senior Secondary School Three overpowered Mathew, collected an axe and struck him in the chest lieaving him in a pool of blood, Mathew was rushed to the Ekiti State University Teachin Hospital in Ado Ekiti where he died. In the wake of Mathew's death, the Ebgira community along Ado Federal Polythecnic road reportedly threatened a reprisal against the yoruba community in the area.
Consequently, Parents of pupils of the school did not allow their wards to attend the school on Friday. It was learnt that he few pupils who showed up in the school returned back at the gate. Policemen were deployed in the neighborhood to prevent the breakdown of law and order while a Police van was stationed at the school gate. Meanwhile, the school's Principal Mr Ebenezer Falayi and the Vice Principal Mr Olurotimi Olaoluwa explained that the incident occurred around quarter past two P.M after closing hours.
