Mike Pompeo defends case on Jamal Khashoggi

The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has dismissed the criticism of the killing of Saudi Journalist, Jamal Khahshoggi.

Mike Pompeo made it clear that there would be no further punishment of Saudi Arabia despite the fact that the CIA has reportedely concluded that the Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bn Salman ordered the Journalist's murder.

Mr Pompeo was on Capitol Hill on Wednesday both briefing Senators on the Khahshoggi case and berating them for their calls for toughest sanctions against the Saudi leadership. His argument is that in getting tough with Muhammad bn Salman would not help the war the United States interest and would not help the war in Yemen.
