Canadian Abducted In Burkina Faso, Found Brutally Killed

Kirk Woodman, a Canadian geologist residing in Burkina Faso have been found dead. According to sources, Kirk Woodman was abducted by some gunmen on Tuesday from a mining site located in the Northern part of Burkina Faso.



The Canadian Foreign Ministry has expressed deep sadness. The Canadian Foreign Ministry stated in its official Twitter account earlier today that it condemns those responsible for the dastardly act, also stating that they are working hand in had with the Burkina Faso government to bring the culprits to justice.

Little is known about Kirk Woodman, but his son Matt Woodman, who currently works as a reporter for the Canadian Television in Edmonton has described him as "a loving and hardworking man husband, father, and brother", hes said this in an interview with CBC News.

Earlier this month, a Canadian woman and an Italian man were also abducted in Burkina Faso. The relations of Edith Blais, 34, and Luca Acchetto were believed to travel to Burkina Faso's neighbouring country,Togo, together for humanitarian aids but never arrived.
