Death toll increases in California Wildfire
Death toll increases from 130 to 631 in Northern California Wildfire. About 600 people is sill yet to be found while 63 has been reported dead. The Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea stated the massive increase in a press conference on Thursday.
All survivors have been facing massive challenges and the choke of in-toxic smoke from fires is now affecting the police search efforts. According to reports, the number of missing people have however been reducing and family members are now reconnecting with their loved ones, but the Sheriff stated that he has a list of 631 people who have gone missing and have not been heared from for the past one week.
The Sheriff has requested for the deployment of additional 500 rescue crews, about 12,000 structures have been destroyed an more than 50,000 people have been displaced through this, a week after mass destruction in Paradise, many fire victims are still struggling, many shelters are packed and some people have refused to go there, they prefer to sleep in their cars and others live in tent city despite the cold weather.
