Overkill: The Walking Dead Video Game is getting a PC Closed Beta
The PC version of Overkill's The Walking Dead is getting a Closed Beta session early next month, the developer announced during a recent livestream.
If you're interested in taking the zombie-mashing survival title for a spin prior to launch, then pre-ordering Overkill's The Walking Dead will net you guaranteed access to the Closed Beta on October 9.
Those of you who plumped for the standard edition of Overkill's The Walking Dead will receive one Closed Beta invite, while the Deluxe Edition will bag you four keys that you can share.
Not much else is known about Overkill's The Walking Dead's Closed Beta right now, though we're promised more details at a later date. It's worth remembering that the PC version of the game is the only one out this year; the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions recently got pushed into 2019.
Overkill's The Walking Dead takes place in the same post-apocalyptic universe as Robert Kirkman's comic book series, and is set in an undead-infested Washington DC. Right now, there's no plans to introduce any of the characters from The Walking Dead comics into the mix via DLC.
