INCREASE OF MEASLES CASES IN EUROPE 2

According to the World Health Organisation, About 41,000 children and adults have been struct down by illness within the first six months of 2018, 40 have been reportedly dead.

World Health Organization Regional Director, Dr Zsuzsanna Jakab said: Following the decade's lowest number of cases in 2016, we are seeing a dramatic increase in infections and extended outbreaks", "We call on all  countries to immediately implement broad, context appropriate measures to stop further spread of this disease."

Ukraine had the largest amount of infected people with over 23,000 people including five other  countries, Georgia, Greece, Italy and Ukraine have recorded over 1000 infections in children and adults this year.
